Terms of Service
Rules for using the PetsFactory marketplace
These terms govern accounts, listings, chat, shops, checkout, and other use of PetsFactory.pk and its installable PWA.
Last updated:
The platform and these terms
PetsFactory.pk is an owned software platform for marketplace activity. It is not a walk-in pet shop and, unless a listing expressly says otherwise, PetsFactory is not the seller, buyer, breeder, transporter, veterinarian, or owner of an animal or product shown by a user.
These published rules are intended to apply when a person creates an account, publishes a listing, sends a chat message, operates a shop, places an order, or otherwise uses the service. The current account and checkout flows do not store a separate versioned checkbox record for these terms. Where applicable law requires affirmative consent, that consent must be obtained before relying on it. The related data practices are described in the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these rules, do not use the platform.
Eligibility and account responsibility
- You must be legally able to enter a binding agreement. Anyone who cannot do so may use the platform only through a parent or legal guardian.
- Account, phone, name, shop, and delivery information must be accurate and kept current.
- You are responsible for protecting passcodes and verification codes, reviewing trusted devices, and actions taken through your account.
- You may not sell, transfer, impersonate, automate abuse of, or create accounts to evade moderation or limits.
Listings and animal welfare
A user who creates or manages a listing must accurately describe the animal, product, service, price, location, ownership, availability, and material health or condition information known to the seller. Photos must depict the item or animal offered and must not violate another person’s rights.
Users must follow applicable animal-welfare, wildlife, livestock, import, export, breeding, vaccination, transport, consumer, and local laws. Prohibited wildlife, unlawful trade, cruelty, scams, misleading health claims, stolen animals or goods, and content that creates a safety risk are not allowed.
PetsFactory may review, limit, reject, remove, expire, or require changes to a listing. Moderation does not guarantee that a listing, seller, buyer, animal, or product has been independently inspected or verified.
Imported listings
Some marketplace listings can be imported from publicly accessible third-party sources. An imported listing is not treated as content the original seller submitted directly under these terms, and it does not prove that the seller opened a PetsFactory account. PetsFactory may retain source identifiers and provenance data to display, deduplicate, moderate, update, or remove imported inventory.
The licence for user-submitted content below applies only to content a user is entitled to submit. Imported content remains subject to the rights, restrictions, and lawful requests applicable to its source.
Buyer and seller checks
Users are responsible for deciding whether to proceed with a listing or transaction. Before committing, check identity, ownership, condition, health or veterinary records where relevant, location, transport, legal restrictions, price, and payment or handover terms. Do not send passcodes or one-time verification codes to another user.
The platform’s location, seller, shop, featured, moderation, or activity signals are product information, not a guarantee of quality, legality, pedigree, health, safety, or successful delivery.
Chat, phone contact, and conduct
Chat and contact tools may be used only for legitimate marketplace communication. Harassment, threats, spam, phishing, sexual content, hate, malware, payment-code requests, or attempts to obtain account secrets are prohibited.
Phone availability follows the listing data and product rules and can reflect an imported source record as well as a seller preference. Users must not scrape, publish, resell, or misuse a phone number, address, chat, or other personal information obtained through PetsFactory.
Shops, carts, and cash-on-delivery orders
A shop is responsible for its product descriptions, stock, prices, delivery charges, fulfilment, cancellations, and compliance with consumer and tax obligations. A buyer is responsible for providing a usable delivery address and accepting and paying for a valid cash-on-delivery order as agreed.
Checkout records the order between buyer and shop or seller. Order states, stock checks, totals, and ratings help operate that workflow, but PetsFactory does not become the owner of the listed product or the carrier responsible for delivery merely by providing the software.
Reports, moderation, and enforcement
Users can report listings or conversations that appear unsafe, misleading, unlawful, or abusive. PetsFactory may inspect relevant account, listing, order, and recent chat records, preserve evidence, warn users, restrict features, remove content, suspend accounts, or cooperate with lawful authorities.
We may apply automated limits and fraud or security signals. A failure to remove content immediately does not waive the right to act later.
User content and software rights
You keep ownership of content you are entitled to submit. You grant the platform a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and use that content as needed to operate, promote, secure, and improve the marketplace and its listings. This licence ends when the content is no longer reasonably needed, subject to backups, order records, reports, legal retention, and content already shared by you.
PetsFactory’s software, interface, brand assets, code, and platform-generated material are protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may use the service for its intended marketplace purpose, but may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, interfere with, or create an unauthorised competing dataset from the platform.
Availability, changes, and third-party services
Features may change, pause, or be withdrawn, including search, chat, notifications, location services, shops, payments, or PWA functions. External maps, storage, messaging, delivery, payment, or other providers may have their own terms and availability. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service.
If a paid feature or a new payment method is offered, its price and material terms will be shown before the user confirms that action.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the platform is provided on an “as available” basis. PetsFactory does not guarantee the identity or conduct of a user, the accuracy of user content, animal health or pedigree, product quality, legal ownership, delivery, payment, or the outcome of a transaction.
To the extent permitted by law, PetsFactory is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss, or for loss caused by user content, off-platform conduct, animals, products, transport, payment, unauthorised account access, or third-party services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits a consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the platform at any time. PetsFactory may restrict or end access when reasonably necessary for a terms breach, safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, service protection, or prolonged inactivity. Provisions that by nature should survive will continue, including rights relating to content already used, order and dispute records, intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability.
Applicable law and mandatory consumer rights continue to apply. If a verified contact method is published by the platform, disputes should first be raised through it so the parties can try to resolve them.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms to reflect product, safety, legal, or operational changes. The current version and update date will remain available at this URL. Continued use after an updated version takes effect means the updated terms apply to later use.
