Every year the same thing happens. Someone buys a Husky or a Saint Bernard in December, it is beautiful for four months, and by June it is lying on the bathroom floor panting and losing weight.
Heat is the single biggest thing to get right when picking a breed here. Flat-faced dogs (Pugs, Bulldogs, Boxers) cannot cool themselves properly because panting is a dog's air conditioner and a short muzzle is a bad radiator. Thick double coats are the other trap.
What has actually worked for you through a full summer, and where do you live? Please say the city -- Karachi humidity and Multan dry heat are not the same problem.
